St. Francis Xavier Parish, Eastland

St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church is an active Catholic community made of up families eager to grow in faith, evangelize others, and serve in the mission of the Church as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Founded in the 1910s during the petroleum boom, under the care of Father Rudolph Aloysius Gerken, the pioneering parish of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church was completed in 1920 and became a beacon of Christ’s constant loving presence in Eastland, Texas.

Although Eastland is now characterized as more of an agri-business, manufacturing and construction town, with a population of about 4,000 people, the Catholic community of St. Francis Xavier Parish continues to thrive and serve the faithful of Eastland, Carbon, Gorman, and surrounding areas.
